Testimonial "Volunteering work to combat unemployment"

What if… you wake up in the morning and you have zero idea where you are… there are just two possibilities for people like you…

You just woke up in the heaven for all the help you provided for people in need during your career as a volunteer… or the second option is you are discovering another piece of Universe Youth in Action and today is the first day of project. So, you jump out of the bed and practice in front of the mirror sentences like „my name is… Favorite color – yes blue as well“, deleting 3% of your memory to remember 18 new multi-culti names, bright smile on the face and you are pretty ready for the getting know each other session… 

It wouldn’t be the training focused on fighting unemployment with volunteering when it would have usual structure – so don’t be surprised when you instead of typical activities find yourself sitting with another participants in the tram KISSing ( Keep It Short and Simple way ) each other just with basic information about yourself... Don’t worry that you don’t recognize the people belonging to the group – the people are heading to join the next volunteering adventure and then the rest of the people in tram practicing different styles of their sour faces floating through their daily routine... But it’s hard to stand the positive vibe and so it can happen that a smiling face complete the sour faces collection and  you land on the seat with some local people explaining them why the  tram ride is such an intercultural experience… 20 minutes later on the another side of the city you can just see the next track of  the rainbow supporting the colors of Ostrava leading to office of Charita. 

Empty, silent streets at 10 a.m. representing the high rate of employment quickly change. After entering house we can see curly head of director which is a sign of quality ideas hiding inside... After short introduction of all participants and their information there was served second round of coffee to get ready for information which will lead us as best practice base on the way through the seminar. Curly hair delighted by silver color of experience started to deliver information about the Charita organization… Presentation slides felt more like slice of sweet cake representing the achievements of the organizations in different areas. We say “thank you“to this NGO for sharing good practices and knowledge about work with both, clients and volunteers.

Between 20-26 November 2013, SUPER TINERI is participating in the project "Volunteering work to combat unemployment", organized by Educator in Ostrava, Czech Republic. 

The project is about exploring the possibilities of promoting and engaging the youth in voluntary work that would help young people to face the unemployment, poverty and lack of education and professional development. Simplifying the project is about the connection between volunteering and employability. 

The Romanian participants are Mihaela Diana Podariu, Daniel Petruneac and Costin Chirica. 

Today it was the first day and we entered directly in the world of local NGOs. At 8.50 we went to visit Charity Ostrava. We were amazed by their work and the great impact in different types of "clients" in need. 

In the afternoon, after knowing each other, we participated in 2 nonformal activities, in order to work in teams and share our knowledge about volunteering. 

Firstly we had the task to build one bridge, but being divided in 3 groups, without the possibility to speak during the construction process. We had the chance to present (plenary) our plans at the beginning of the session and also, during the construction phase, one member of each team negotiate the dimensions and the way of doing the bridge. The result: maybe unsuccessful for a technician, but for the purpose of a non-formal exercise it was definitely a success.  We saw that is hard to communicate, we don't have the same way of understanding the same tasks, few people are taking the responsibility and if they are taking it, the others can decide not to follow the idea.

The second activity was to discuss about the values of volunteering and employability. We had 6 magic "hats" with 6 key words. We had the opportunity to approach 3 hats and the conclusions can be resumed in that volunteering will definitely help you to find the job of your dream.

What's next: a visit to the mines of Ostrava and to the city center, best practices of the project partners, an EVS presentation, the intercultural night, a speech from a representative of European Commission, an event in the local community! So far the project is a success! 

Cine n-are bunici, să-şi cumpere!

În perioada 7-8 decembrie 2013 vom organiza în cadrul proiectul "Young European TroubleShooters", primul eveniment de lansare a proiectului. Activitatea va consta în facilitarea unei întâlniri a elevilor de la Liceele "Ion Neculce" şi "Moldova" Tîrgu Frumos cu bunicii oraşului.  

Concret, pe data de 7 decembrie va avea loc un mini-curs de formare pentru 15 tineri liceeni pe tema "foto-jurnalismul ca metodă nonformală". Acest curs va fi ţinut la ora 18:00, la Casa de Cultură "Garabet Ibrăileanu" din Tîrgu Frumos. În următoarea zi, la ora 10:00, va fi organizată o întâlnire între tinerii şi bunicii oraşului Tîrgu Frumos, cu scopul de a povesti! Va fi realizat şi un moment artistic de către tinerii de la Liceul Special "Moldova". Sunt multe istorisiri nespuse sau poate spuse, dar nescrise... despre noroc, dragoste, inţelepciune, frumuseţe... despre Tîrgu Frumos! Tinerii participanţi vor afla poveştile şi le transforma în reportaje însoţite de fotografii. Vom crea astfel cartea amintirilor oraşului Tîrgu Frumos! 

Young European TroubleShooters Project

Young European Troubleshooters Project is the newest project of us and will take place between 12-08-2013 - 31-08-2014. SUPER TINERI ASIRYS Association is the organizer and our partners are:

- Liceul Tehnologic Special Trinitas Tîrgu-Frumos Iaşi,
- Young City Designers, Turkey,
- Young Journalists from Eskişehir, Turkey,
- Citizens of Europe, Berlin, Germany,
- Europa Neuer Ideen, Koln, Germany.

The project was developed during a training course of the Romanian National Agency, hosted in Bucharest. Since January we create the Facebook page of the project: www.facebook.com/YET2013.


YET project will have the following stages:

Preparation stage: November-April 2013 

- Informing the local community, the target group (online, offline) – press-release, articles posted to online platforms – Facebook, blog etc.
- Recruiting of the team (youth passionate about photography, photo-journalism or youth democracy) - and organize meetings with them (including a introduction training about photography)
-  Participating to a local meeting of the municipality/ make a short research about the structure of municipality, activities, tasks etc. 
- Doing 3 photo-reports about 3 different subjects relevant for the community - suggestion: organize an event in each community involving the photo-journalism
- Do a report about the active participation of youth and about their involvement on local, national and European level. 
- Preparing the first number of the newspaper Young European Troubleshooters. 

Youth Exchange: Beginning of April 2013 

- Organizing an youth exchange with 3 participants from each organization in Tîrgu Frumos, Iaşi, Paşcani.
- Launching the first number of the newspaper Young European Troubleshooters

Evaluation, dissemination:

- Post all media results on the online platforms of all the partners
- Printing and sharing at European level at least 3 numbers of the newspaper – involving youth from around the world. 

Regarding the Youth Exchange Programme, it will consist in 5 working days (without travelling days). The draft of the exchange is bellow and can be improved:

Coaliția 52 bulversează secretomania guvernanților

Pe data de 7 noiembrie 2013, orele 10.30, la Iaşi, (în sala de şedinţe de la AOAI) a avut loc o conferinţă de presă dedicată finalizării companiei de advocacy a Coaliţiei 52 de modificare a Legii transparenţei decizionale (Legea 52).

La nivelul județului Iași au aderat următoarele organizații: Asociația Oamenilor de Afaceri Iași 2003 (AOAI), Patronatul ”Uniunea Generală a Industriașilor” (UGIR) – filiala Iași, Asociația de Promovaree a Economiei Cunoașterii (APEC), Asociația Aproape de Tine, Asociația Națională de Prevenire a Îmbolnăvirii și de sprijinire a Pensionarilor de Boală (ANPIS) Iași, Asociația ”Super Tineri” (ASIRYS), Asociația Studenților și Tinerilor Ingineri Politehniști Iași, Asociația Salvați Copii Iași, Fundația Iosif, Fundația ”Șanse Egale pentru Femei” (ŞEF), Organizația Huțul-Eko.

Coaliția 52 bulversează secretomania guvernanților

Asistăm la o premieră în viața publică românească: prima acțiune de lobby a societății civile românești care se finalizează cu succes.

Printr-o campanie intens promovată de cei peste 400 de membri ai Coaliției 52 – coordonată de Academia de Advocacy – timp de aproape doi ani, s-a reușit modificarea Legii transparenței decizionale. Dacă până acum politicienii și înalții funcționari publici se ascundeau de opinia, de propunerile și cererile cetățenilor, evitând să implice societatea civilă în procesul de adoptare a diferitelor decizii și refuzând accesul la documente de interes public, de acum încolo aceștia nu vor mai putea să o facă. Legea Transparenței este mult mai clară și mai apropiată de spiritul transparenței decât la adoptarea sa inițială, în anul 2003. Modificările aduse vechii legi modernizează accesul cetățenilor, inclusiv al jurnaliștilor, la deciziile publice, mai ales că s-a introdus obligativitatea, inclusiv la nivel local și județean, ca studiile de impact și/sau fezabilitate să devina obligatorii ca documente publice anexe ale proiectului de act normativ propus. Decidenții nu vor mai putea deci acționa discreționar, numai pentru că așa e ordinul de la partid sau doresc să își satisfacă clientela politică. 

Concret, Coaliția 52 a îmbunătățit transparența decizională în România prin:
1) extinderea perioadei de consultare publică la 30 de zile lucrătoare (nu calendaristice, cum se trăgea de timp până acum);
2) derularea procesului de consultare publică până la începerea dezbaterilor în cadrul autorităților publice, nu până la finalizarea lor);
3) publicarea modalității de colectare a recomandărilor de la cetățeni;
4) publicarea modalității de înscriere și luare a cuvântului, timpul alocat luării la cuvânt și orice alte detalii de desfășurare a dezbaterii publice;
5) asigurarea unui real acces public, pe site și la sediu, la următoarele documente:
a. minuta dezbaterii publice;
b. recomandările scrise colectate;
c. versiunile îmbunătățite ale proiectului de act normativ în diverse etape ale elaborării;
d. rapoartele de avizare;
e. versiunea finală adoptată a actului normativ;
6) introducerea unui registru al opiniilor și propunerilor colectate, pentru ca acestea să rămână consemnate, iar decidenții să nu poată minți opinia publică asupra inexistenței lor;
7) specificarea concretă, de către cei interesați din societatea civilă, a articolelor la care fac referire în opiniile și propunerile elaborate;
8) introducerea, inclusiv la nivel local și județean, a studiilor de impact și/sau fezabilitate ca documente publice anexe proiectului de act normativ propus;
9) diferențierea ședinței publice (de regulă a Consiliilor Locale / Județene) de dezbaterea publică, dedicată întâlnirii cu cetățenii;
10) obligativitatea participării la dezbaterile publice cu cetățenii a inițiatorilor, experților și/sau specialiștilor implicați, din partea autorității publice care, de regulă, chiuleau de la astfel de evenimente.
Invităm pe toți cetățenii să supravegheze respectarea noilor prevederi legislative în privința transparenței potrivit Legii 52/2003, cu modificările și completările ulterioare, și să ne semnaleze orice abateri de la cadrul legal, pentru a putea interveni și elimina orice abuzuri, din partea oricărei autorități publice.

Cum a reușit Coaliția 52 sa modifice Legea 52/2003

Procesul de modificare a legii s-a derulat pe durata a două legislaturi în Parlamentul României și a trei Guverne. Aceste modificări au fost absolut necesare deoarece, în anul 2003, când a fost adoptată Legea 52/2003, deși ea a fost susținută și promovată de N.A.T.O. și U.E., politicienii români au lăsat portițe care nu permiteau o transparență absolut democratică la toate nivelurile decizionale. Legea a fost prea puțin înțeleasă și aplicată deopotrivă de politicieni ori funcționari, dar și de cetățeni, în lipsa unei reale informări asupra felului în care ei pot influenta decizia publică. În consecință, astăzi încă:
 Dialogul cu instituțiile publice este unul greoi, nu sunt respectate termenele prevăzute de lege, iar responsabilitatea este pasată în mod deliberat către angajatul nominalizat sa răspundă cererilor în baza Legii 52/2003, protejând astfel, adevăratul decident - primarul, președintele de Consiliu Județean sau ministrul;
 Este confirmată lipsa unei proceduri minimale de organizare a dezbaterilor, la nivelul instituțiilor publice, fapt care a generat mimarea procesului de consultare a societății civile.

În România anului 2012, după o lungă perioadă de ”liniște”, au reînceput, în ciuda frigului de ianuarie, insistente proteste de stradă, care reclamau, la fel ca și acum, o nemulțumire generală profundă care, în cele din urmă, i-a determinat pe politicienii de toate culorile să re-reconsidere rolul dialogului în democrație. 

,,Coaliția 52”, lansată în 27 ianuarie 2012, și care astăzi numără peste 400 de membri la nivel național, cetățeni și reprezentanți ai organizațiilor patronale, sindicale și ONG-uri din diferite domenii de activitate (www.coalitia52.ro/cine-suntem), a acționat pentru bulversarea secretomaniei guvernanților, militând pentru acces la informația de interes public și transparență, ca premise ce pot încuraja un rol activ al cetățenilor în blocarea politicilor care lezează interesele populației. 

Demersul Coaliției 52 a urmărit îmbunătățirea transparenței și a dialogului cu decidenții, prin introducerea în Legea 52/2003: a) a sancțiunilor directe și imediate aplicabile conducătorilor autorităților publice pentru nerespectarea Legii 52/2003, b) a termenelor rezonabile de dialog și c) a unor reguli minimale unitare de dialog.

Acțiunile cheie ale campaniei de advocacy a Coaliției 52 de îmbunătățirea a transparenței decizionale în România au fost:
 20 de conferințe de presă simultane în diverse orașe ale țării, în scopul sensibilizării opiniei publice și a cointeresării decidenților politici, în 9 februarie 2012;
 20 de mese rotunde cu decidenți locali, județeni și naționali, în orașe importante ale țării, sub titlul ,,Respect și responsabilitate în dialog”, în 17, 24 februarie 2012;
 întâlniri cu toate grupurile parlamentare din Senat și Camera Deputaților și cu reprezentanți ai Guvernului, în martie 2012.
Rezultatele imediate ale campaniei de advocacy inițiate au fost: 
 susținerea campaniei de către 70 de parlamentari din legislatura 2008 – 2012;
 17 deputați și senatori și-au asumat Propunerea Legislativă: 
 deputați - PSD: Itu Cornel;
 deputați - PNL: Uioreanu Horea-Dorin;
 deputați - PD-L: Arion Viorel, Călian Petru, Ciobanu Gheorghe, Dugulescu Marius Cristinel, Gurzău Adrian, Movilă Petru, Prigoană Vasile-Silviu, Tabără Valeriu;
 deputați - Mino.: Buciuta Ştefan, Ignat Miron;
 deputați - neafiliaţi: Giurgiu Mircia;
 senatori - PSD: Cordoş Alexandru;
 senatori - PNL: Nicoară Marius Petre, Rădulescu Şerban;
 senatori - PD-L: Hărdău Mihail.
Au urmat activități de lobby ale reprezentanților Coaliției 52 atât în Parlamentul României, pe perioada legislaturii 2008 – 2012, dar mai ales a legislaturii actuale, cât și în Guvern.
Rezultatele imediate ale acțiunilor de lobby au fost:
 adresă de respingere din partea Guvernului (Ponta 1), în 15 iunie 2012;
 vot de respingere la Senat, în 17 septembrie 2012;
 aviz favorabil din partea Guvernului (Ponta 2), în 11 aprilie 2013;
 vot de adoptare în Camera Deputaților, cameră decizională, în 8 octombrie 2013;
 promulgarea de către președinte, în 30 octombrie 2013;
 trimiterea spre publicare în M.O. a Legii 281/2013 pentru modificarea și completarea Legii 52/2003, în 31 octombrie 2013.
Avem, așadar, o lege a transparenței îmbunătățită! 
Noi credem că, prin forța coaliției pe care o reprezentăm, putem schimba obiceiuri greșite și atitudini ostile cetățenilor, pentru că știm și putem să folosim inteligent o Lege a Transparenței îmbunătățită.

EVS. What is it?

European Voluntary Service or in a short way “EVS” is a full-time volunteering opportunity where a volunteer has the chance to experience a new culture, to learn a new language or to improve his life skills already acquired while benefiting the local community in another country. EVS is a unique experience available to young people under European Commission’s Youth in Action non-formal learning programme. Also, within the EVS, young people can spend up to 12 months abroad as European volunteers doing something useful in society, helping in local projects in various fields. It may be cultural, environmental, social, sporting activities.

EVS is not...

• EVS is not occasional, unstructured, part-time volunteering.
• EVS is not an internship in an enterprise.
• EVS is not a paid job and must not substitute paid jobs.
• EVS is not a recreation or tourist activity.
• EVS is not a free language course.
• EVS is not exploitation of cheap work force.
• EVS is not a period of study or vocational training abroad.
• EVS is not simply a funding scheme, but a quality model of transnational voluntary service.

How does it work?

The EVS programme operates with three partners: you, your Sending Organisation and Host Organisation. Each project has to involve at least these three key actors, but a larger number of organisations and/or volunteers can be involved. The relationship of sending organisation, volunteer and host organisation is a triangular partnership. The organisations will be responsabile for different aspects of your EVS experience: for example, the SO tell you how you can search for projects, give you advice when needed, help with your preparation and organize your insurance and flights and, in turn, the HO will nominate a personal Mentor for you. There are also National Agencies which oversee EVS within a country and deal with finances, applications, reporting and quality of EVS. So, after clarified all practical arrangements, your Sending Organisation and Host Organisation will submit grant applications seeking European Commission funding. 

EVS does not cost you anything, at least, no money. You receive a European Commisssion grant to cover your costs like travel, insurance, board and lodging, training and your pocket money (“volunteer allowances" for varies depending on your destination). The EVS activity abroad should have a minimum duration of 2 months and a maximum overall duration of 12 months (excluding preparation and evaluation). If you're a young person with fewer opportunities, for example: people with a disability, those with no educational qualification, those who are homeless, placements can be as short as 2 weeks, additional support can be provided to make it easier for you to take part and such placements can be used as preparation for a longer-term placement.

Who is eligible to volunteer under EVS?

EVS is open to you if you're aged between 18-30 years. It is aimed mainly at the "Programme countries", but young people from the "Neighbouring Partner countries" can also participate in EVS projects. The so-called “Programme countries” is form by all the Member States of the European Union and the EEA/EFTA countries and preaccession countries. Also, one of the following groups are the right candidate:  
- Youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, project managers or organisers in the field of youth and non-formal education;
- Non-profit-making youth organizations;
- Other non-profit-making organisations, associations and structures experienced in the field of youth and non-formal education.

In which country may you do EVS?

You can do an EVS project in each "Programme Country" of the Youth in Action Programme: Austria, Belgium,Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic,Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kindom, Iceland, Malta, Liechtenstein); 
You also can go on EVS in a "Neighbouring Partner Country" of the EU. There are 3 regions: South East Europe (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yug. Rep. of Macedonia (FYROM), Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia) Eastern Europe and Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russian Federation, Ukraine) and Mediterranean Partner Countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Syria, Tunisia).

• Why does EVS exists?

Through this programme, the European Union creates a non-formal learning opportunities for young people and supports an intercultural learning. Paradoxically, learning about others in a different cultural cont ext involves also important learning about oneself and vice versa. This is exactly the process your volunteer might be facing during the EVS. 
You might not be aware of your own culture and cultural identity unless you are confronted with another culture. So, if you are interested and willing to learn another language, curious about other countries and cultures, are open minded, motivated and enjoy meeting new people EVS has an incredible array of opportunities!
 EVS is a way for young people to do something useful in society and gain new and useful skills. As an EVS volunteer you will have the opportunity to understand different cultures, live in another country and be an active European citizen!

Why volunteering?

People volunteer for different reasons. Most part of the volunteers wants to acquire new knowledge, skills and competencies, which will help them later in the career. All the same time, it may be to help the community where they are living, to offer something back to the humanity. Through volunteering, people expand their horizons, know themselves better and grow as human beings.
Briefly, here are the benefits of a volunteer:
- You will learn to work in teams
- You'll make new friends
- You will gain a better ability to make decisions
- You will enrich your resume
- You will become more responsible and thoughtful
- You'll experience new things and acquire new knowledge
- You will help the community in which you live

Your  fundamental rights as an EVS volunteer
The rights listed below are compiled by the European Commission. 
 The participant has the right to respect for his or her physical and mental integrity;
 The participant has the right to the protection of personal data concerning him or her;
 The participant's dignity must be respected;
 The participant shall not be subjected to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment;
 The participant has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; 
 The participant shall not be discriminated against on any grounds such as gender, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, sexual orientation; 
 The participant has the right not to participate in activities likely to harm his/her safety, health or physical, mental, moral or social well-being; 

BEFORE EVS

Advices for potential EVS volunteers

When you have decided you want to become an EVS volunteer think about your motivation for doing EVS. Next, we give young people some reflection points to consider before applying for EVS: 

 Before going further, it might be good to be well informed about EVS and the possibilities;
 When you look for an organisation that can host you, you need to verify if it is accredited;
 Prepare yourself properly for a stay abroad, for the biggest challenges;
 Found a project which interests you and think about why you have applied to that; Be realistic with yourself and put a lot of thought into your search. It is the best way to get to a successful experience.
 Think about the experiences you would like to gain from the placement; It is wise to look to a project from a learning point of view: what can you offer, which competencies do you have in that theme, and to w hich extend can you still learn within that theme and benefit from the project? You can reach one of the following themes: health, environment, youth sports, youth leisure, gender equality, minority rights, art and cultures, media and communications, social integration and exclusion, urban and rural development, european awareness, civil protection etc. It's good to have some idea of the type of thing you're interested in, but also try to be open-minded and flexible in your approach.
 Talk about issues and worries with friends and family. They may have experiences or advice than can offer which will make you re-think how you are feeling; 
 You co-operate closely with your Sending organization in order to develop details of your individual project;
 Take some time to think about all the people who can support you during your placement, especially if there are any problems.
 Be proactive in contacting your Hosting Organisation. Also, you are entitled to clear information about the Hosting Organisation, its activities and the tasks that you will be expected to carry out in organization. Also, you don’t be afraid of asking questions like: where will I live?, who will be my supervisor?, are there any other volunteers in my placement? and will I receive any training?.
 Try to find out if there are EVS volunteers in the project already - often they can help with very practical information about how life really is within the project.
 It's good to reflect upon some cultural aspects in advance so as you avoid what is called ”culture shock.” You need to answer yourself some of these questions to help focus your mind: Have you also already some intercultural experiences? Have you worked already together with people from other cultural backgrounds?
 Another question to put yourself before you start looking for a EVS project: For how long are you ready to commit yourself in a EVS project with all its stages: the preparation, the service and the follow-up? Ex-EVS'ers are telling that 12 months  is a long period, and especially during special days as Christmas, New Year, Easter,... home sickness can appear when staying abroad without returning to home. But, you should be aware that understanding and living in satisfying relation with the local community requires more time to discover and interact with the community.
 Begin a diary or blog (there’s even www.myevs.net which is a blogging site specifically for EVS volunteers) - it will be amazing in the future to look back at your feelings, your new experiences and your learning! 

Don`t forget, you have the right to be prepared for your EVS experience. After this reflection, you should know if EVS is the perfect opportunity for you right now, otherwise you should choose another programme that is more appropriate. Take some time to reflect it is very important, the chance for a disappointment during a project is much lower!

Fears and expectations at the beginning of the EVS stage. Yours is?

Commonly, the fears of the volunteers before to participate in a stage is about living for a long time without family, especially for young people just graduating the high school, or is about their capacity to adapt to a new culture or is about the language of the host country. 

If you are afraid you will not able to learn the language of the country of destination and thus will be impossible for you to communicate with people from the community, to make new friends and to integrate in the community where you have to live for the stage, we have an advice:

 Practice the language! Even if you don’t speak any of the language of your new country, begin to learn basic words and phrases. Or if you have a basic knowledge of the language, try to practice it to become more confident and more fluent. 
 Attention! Language learning within EVS should not be the only reason for you to apply to this programme. Language learning is a consequence.

DURING EVS

Rights and responsibilities during the EVS

• The volunteer has the right to an explanation concerning the grant received by the organisation and the use of this grant for the benefit of the volunteer's project
• The volunteer is expected to respect the organisational policy of the host organisation.
• The volunteer has the right to language training
• The volunteer must respect the health and safety regulations of the host organisation / country. 
• The volunteer has the right to adequate training to enable him/her to carry out the agreed tasks and a right to attend the on-arrival and mid-term seminars offered by the National Agency.
• The volunteer must not act in any way could put others or him/herself at the risk of being injured. 
• The volunteer should have adequate supervision related to his/her tasks, by the local host organisation in the project.
• The volunteer has the responsibility to fulfill the terms of the tri-tripartite agreement and is expected to remain in the project for the agreed duration unless there is good reason for the volunteer to leave the project. 
• The volunteer must be assigned a tutor by the local host organisation, and should have frequent contact with him/her. 
• The volunteer is expected to be reliable, including notifying the appropriate persons (tutors, NA) of his/her intention to withdraw from the EVS. 
• The volunteer is entitled to support from his/her tutor and the National Agency in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
• The volunteer must keep his/her tutor informed about his/her whereabouts during the EVS period. 
• The volunteer should expect his/her sending organisation to stay in contact with him/her for the duration of the project. 
• The volunteer has responsibility towards the host organisation and should show willingness to adapt to his/her surroundings and to carry out the agreed tasks. While the volunteer will be involved in interesting activities, some of the tasks could be routine but important to the running of the organisation. 
• The volunteer should not be coerced into participating in activities against his/her convictions which were not previously agreed
• The volunteer has the responsibility to seek guidance when necessary. if the volunteer has a problem s/he should discuss it with his/her tutor as the host organisation can only act when it is aware of a problem. 
• The volunteer has the right to receive pocket money from his/her host organisation on a weekly or monthly basis corresponding to the monthly rate set by the European Commission for each participating country in the EVS.
• The volunteer is expected to meet regularly with his/her tutor. 
• All local travel costs related to the EVS project are covered by the host organisation..
• The volunteer should report serious difficulties to the National Agency. 
• The volunteer is entitled to two consecutive whole days off per week and two days holiday per month of service (to be taken within the EVS period, with prior agreement of the host organisation); during this time off, the volunteer is entitled to receive his/her pocket money and all other allowances offered by the programme.
• The volunteer must attend all the activities foreseen by the programme and the events organised by the National Agency (on-arrival, mid-term meetings), in order to learn, share his/her difficulties and to exchange his/her experiences. 
• It is possible for the volunteer to end his/her project for a good reason, after having consulted his/her host organisation, sending organisation and the National Agency.

• The volunteer is entitled to receive support from his/her sending organisation after completion of his/her project.
• The volunteer must respect the agreement with the sending organisation about reporting and returning experience to the sending organisation. 
• Following the completion of his/her EVS, the volunteer is entitled to a certificate attesting the skills and experience that the volunteer has acquired during this period.
• The volunteer must complete a final report at the end of the EVS project. 
• The volunteer can apply for Future Capital up to two years after the end of his/her project. 
• The volunteer must contact the sending organisation on his/her return or at the end of the EVS project

A fost lansat programul de burse Danceweb 2014!

Programul de burse danceWEB se adresează dansatorilor şi coregrafilor cu ambiţii profesionale incontestabile din ţările europene, est-europene şi non-europene, de preferat cu vârsta între 22-30 de ani şi cunoştinţe
Avansate de limba engleză. Calitatea pregătirii în dans reprezintă principalul criteriu de participare la danceWEB.

Programul de burse danceWEB oferă unui număr de aproape 65 de tineri dansatori şi coregrafi profesionişti în principal din Europa, dar şi din ţările non-europene, posibilitatea de a participa într-un program multinaţional de formare intensivă Programul se derulează sub forma unei rezidente de 5 săptămâni, în fiecare an în Viena, din iulie şi până în august, în cadrul Festivalului internaţional de dans ImPulsTanz.

Programul se axează pe schimbul de idei şi cunoştinţe, nelimitat de graniţele naţionale, pe formare continuă, pe întâlniri cu artişti recunoscuţi internaţional în Viena la ImPulsTanz, în vederea orientării carierei participanţilor.

O bursă include următoarele servicii:

  • Coaching individual asigurat de mentori artistici
  • Participare la proiectele de cercetare PRO SERIES
  • Participare la proiectele de cercetare COACHING PROJECT
  • Participare la atelierele tehnice ImPulsTanz
  • Intrare liberă la toate spectacolele din cadrul ImPulsTanz
  • Acces liber la aprox. 300 de filme video în domeniul dansului în videoteca IMZ (Internationales Musikzentrum, Wien)
  • Schimb de idei şi contacte cu formatori şi coregrafi internaţionali
  • Proiecte speciale oferite exclusiv bursierilor danceWEB
  • Conexiuni şi prezentarea unei baze de date internaţionale danceWEB
  • Cazare gratuită în Viena pe perioada bursei

Fiecare bursă, acordată în cadrul "Life Long Burning", este cofinanţata prin programul Cultura al Uniunii Europene, organisme finanţatoare din Austria, precum şi de finanţatori locali din ţară de rezidenţa a candidatului (dar nu persoane private că sponsori). Această ultimă parte nu este asigurată încă în toate ţările. Din acest motiv, candidaţii sunt încurajaţi să caute posibile instituţii finanţatoare în ţara lor de origine.

Competiţia europeană pentru soluţii sociale inovatoare

Ştii cum s-ar putea reduce şomajul? Crezi că ai putea îmbunătăţi condiţiile de muncă ale persoanelor nevoite să accepte locuri de muncă prost plătite - pe motiv de sex, vârstă, statut social sau handicap? Ştii cum am putea spori şansele pentru cele 27 de milioane de europeni care în prezent nu au un loc de muncă? Dacă da, acest concurs este pentru tine!

Comisia Europeană lansează în fiecare an o competiţie destinată antreprenorilor sociali, care promovează şi finanţează soluţii inovatoare de creştere a gradului de ocupare pe piaţa muncii.

Competiţia "European Social Innovation" va finanţa cu câte 30.000 de euro trei proiecte de antreprenoriat social.

Propunerile trebuie să urmărească integrarea pe piaţa muncii a categoriilor vulnerabile (tineri, şomeri pe termen lung, persoane cu dizabilităţi etc.). Soluţiile pot varia, de la  crearea de noi oportunităţi de angajare, la dezvoltarea capacităţii antreprenoriale a categoriilor vizate.

Pot participa companii, organizaţii non-profit sau persoane fizice din România, atât pentru proiecte noi, cât şi pentru extinderea unor proiecte aflate deja în derulare.

Cele mai bune trei iniţiative antreprenoriale (selectate de juriu), vor primi fiecare câte 30.000 de euro. Se aşteaptă de la câştigători să folosească această finanţare pentru a-şi pune în practică ideile, în beneficiul grupurilor-tinta, dar nu există restricţii impuse referitoare la cum vor fi folosiţi banii.

Organizatorii oferă candidaţilor şi o serie de alte oportunităţi, care să crească şansele de implementare pentru propunerile lor.

Premiul Charlemagne pentru tinerii europeni

Eşti tânăr european şi ai idei pentru a transforma Europa într-o comunitate integrată? Scrie un proiect şi înscrie-l la concursul "Premiul Charlemagne pentru tinerii europeni"!

"Premiul Charlemagne pentru tinerii europeni" doreşte să încurajeze atât dezvoltarea unei conştiinţe europene în rândul tinerilor, cât şi participarea acestora la proiectul de integrare europeană. Premiul este acordat acelor proiecte realizate de tineri care promovează buna înţelegere şi dezvoltarea unui simţ comun al identităţii europene şi care dau exemple practice de europeni care trăiesc împreună ca o comunitate. "Premiul Charlemagne pentru tinerii europeni" este decernat anual de Parlamentul European împreună cu Fundaţia pentru Premiul Internaţional Charlemagne din Aachen. Premiul pentru cel mai bun proiect este în valoare de 5.000 Euro, premiul doi de 3.000 Euro, iar premiul trei de 2.000 Euro. Data limită: 20 ianuarie 2014.
